The Archdiocese of Cardiff have instructed all schools in the diocese to implement the ‘Jesuit Pupil Profile’. We have adapted the “Jesuit Pupil Profile”. The Profile will address the question “What kind of people do we hope the children in our school are growing to be?”

We are teaching our pupils to be the best they can be academically, spiritually and morally. The Pupil Profile will offer a vision of what it is to be a good person for our pupils and staff whatever their religious belief or cultural background. The Profile focusses on a set of virtues.

We will focus on a set of virtues each half term. These virtues will be a focus in class and assemblies. The children will learn about the virtue and be encouraged to use these virtues whenever possible, and give examples of when they use them, and how they will impact on themselves and others.

Eloquent and truthful in what they say of themselves, the relations between people, and the world.

Curious about everything; and active in their engagement with the world, changing what they can for the better.

Faith-filled in their beliefs and hopeful for the future.

Compassionate towards others, near and far, especially the less fortunate; and loving by their just actions and forgiving words.

The kingdom of Heaven is like a seed.

Intentional in the way they live and use the resources of the earth, guided by conscience; and prophetic in the example they set to others.

Learned, finding God in all things; and wise in the ways they use their learning for the common good.

Grateful for their own gifts, for the gift of other people, and for the blessings of each day; and generous with their gifts, becoming men and women for others.

Attentive to their experience and to their vocation; and discerning about the choices they make and the effects of those choices.
